Elder Christopher Brown, Sr.
Elder Christopher Brown Sr. hails from Oakwood Village, Ohio and enlisted in the United States Army in September 1988.
He presently serves as a Sergeant Major in the U.S. Army. Minster Brown has completed all levels of the Noncommissioned Officer Education System and is a graduate of Class 60 of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy. Elder Brown holds a degree in Health and Physical Education and Kinesiology from Heidelberg University.
Chris accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in Fort Stewart Ga in 1992 at Minuteman Chapel. He began his ministerial service as an ordained Deacon at Life Changing Ministries in Hinesville Georgia. He accepted his called to preach the gospel at Emmanuel Temple House of Praise in Wahiawa Hawaii. While at Ft. Riley Kansas, he was ordained and licensed by Interdenomination of Faith Church of the Living God under the leadership of Pastor Don German.
Chris is an “Armor Bearer” who enjoys serving in various leadership positions to build church ministries to be strong and relevant in the community.
As he continues his military career, Chris has served as the Assistant Pastor Camp Red Cloud COGIC (Uijeongbu South Korea) and Youth Pastor Sierra Vista 1st Church of God in Christ. Presently he serves as an Associate Elder and Armor Bearer at Greater New Birth Church of God in Christ, San Antonio Texas.
Elder Chris and wife Minister Althea Brown have five children and seven grandchildren.
