How does it feel to be at the mercy of another person’s intellect, skill, and sensory ability?

If you and I, could put our life in the hands of a pilot or a copilot that we don’t know, why can’t we put our trust in God when we don’t understand what he’s doing or asking us to do.

Throughout scripture from Genesis to Revelation we are asked to put this level of trust in a God we have not seen ever before like that pilot behind those cabin doors. On some occasions, He gives us evidence of His presence and on other occasions He chooses not to give us any sign of His presence.

For most people, even Christians, that’s an ongoing struggle.

Some would say that the Lord our God is wishy-washy or in and out

Others would say that’s He’s just plain mean and uncaring

Some will take that as grounds for skepticism and others for agnosticism.

But if we can get on multiple flights and fly thousands of miles and sit comfortably in our seat, at thousands and thousands of feet above the earth surface having little worries about landing safely, then why can’t we put our full trust in God when He tells all us to embark on a task, mission or even a journey with an end He doesn’t reveal to any of us?

We accepted that flight itinerary by faith as the instructions for our guide to our destination. We took those instructions, then we prepared ourselves accordingly to get to that place to catch our flight on time. We left the comforts of our home, drove a vehicle over an hour in some cases, stood in line allowed security personnel to validate our personal information and didn’t complain for the most part.

Why can’t we allow the Lord to utilize His right as the Sovereign Lord to lead us in the same manner? Allowing Him the same liberties in our lives to do what is best for as he lead us safely to our destination, “HEAVEN”.

Deuteronomy 31:12 (NIV)
Assemble the people—men, women and children, and the foreigners residing in your towns—so they can listen and learn to fear the Lord your God and follow carefully all the words of this law.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
